At a livestream event on Sunday (May 21) entitled “Foo Fighters: Preparing Music For Concerts”, the band shared the news of Josh Freese joining their touring lineup.
Freese had been drumming for Danny Elfman until he was replaced by Ilan Rubin and was also in THE OFFSPRING till last year, with Brandon Pertzborn taking his place recently. Freese stands in for the late Taylor Hawkins, who was a long-time FOO FIGHTERS drummer and passed away in March 2022 at the age of 50.
FOO FIGHTERS‘ 11th album, But Here We Are, will be released on June 2 on Roswell/RCA.
Hawkins was found dead on March 25 at the Four Seasons Casa Medina hotel in Bogota, Colombia while FOO FIGHTERS were on tour.
