As widely reported, residents in Italy have begun singing songs and playing instruments from their windows and balconies amid the country’s continued coronavirus lockdown.
Several videos surfaced online with people all over Italy singing in unision with their neighbours, blasting music on full volume, or just playing their instruments.
One such case is Rome-based guitarist Marco G. Di Marco , who stepped onto his balcony, and performed QUEEN‘s 1977 hit “We Will Rock You.”
“During this terrible period, each day at 6:00 pm all the Italians play something on their balcony,” says Marco. “In Rome, in my condominium we played ‘We Will Rock You’! Big hug all around the world!”
