Ozzy Osbourne has released a second single from his upcoming album Ordinary Man, due out on Epic Records in early 2020.
Listen to “Straight To Hell” below.
On the full-on rocker “Straight To Hell”, Ozzy takes listeners to the heart of darkness — “something is missing and you don’t know why” — with GUNS N’ ROSES guitarist Slash along for this devilish ride, delivering scorched-earth riffs.
Ozzy also posted the lyrics for the song which goes as follows:
Alright now
C’mon nowYou’re flying higher than a kite tonight
You’ve took the hit and now you feel alright
You’re dance be death so we must celebrateI’ll make you scream
I’ll make you defecateStraight to Hell tonight
We’re going straight to hell
Straight to Hell tonightI’ll make you lie
I’ll make you steal and killI’ll make you crawl until your final thrill
enjoy the ride I’ll plant my bitter seedYou’ll kill yourself and I will watch you bleed
Straight to Hell tonight
We’re going straight to hell
Straight to Hell tonightStraight to Hell tonight
We’re going straight to hell
Straight to Hell tonightSomething is missing
And you don’t know why
Deeper in the darkness
You will hideAlright now
Alright nowStraight to Hell tonight
We’re going straight to hell
Straight to Hell tonightStraight to Hell tonight
We’re going straight to hell
Straight to Hell tonight
In a recent interview with The Sun, Ozzy has revealed that he finished work on his next solo album.
“I’ve made a new album and it’s helped get me back on track,” Legendary BLACK SABBATH singer said. “I was just lying in my own self-pity for months. It’s the greatest album I’ve done.”
He said the record came after he was asked to appear on a track by Post Malone.
“I’d never even heard of this kid. He wanted me to sing on his song “Take What You Want,” so I did and then one thing led to another. I started recording a new album with Post Malone’s producer Andrew Watt. It’s only nine tracks but it was a catalyst to get me to where I am today.”
“If it wasn’t for making this record I would still be on traction, thinking, ‘I’m going to be lying here for ever’. I’ve missed music so badly. My fans are so loyal and so good. Up until making the album I thought I was dying. But that got me off my a**e.”
He added: “If it wasn’t for making this record I would still be on traction, thinking, ‘I’m going to be lying here for ever’. I’ve missed music so badly. My fans are so loyal and so good. Up until making the album I thought I was dying. But that got me off my a—s.”
“This is my first recording in a studio for ten years, so I do feel a bit out of touch. Music goes straight online these days and that’s quicker than it takes me to write a text. It’s all about downloads and streaming now. What the f*ck does that mean? What’s Spotify? I thought it was a skin problem where you woke up spotified.
“The album was all finished in four weeks,” he added.” I said to Sharon that I didn’t feel like I’d made an album because we haven’t ended up screaming at each other.”
