Lee Ving Performs With Megadeth

FEAR frontman Lee Ving joined MEGADETH on stage on June 24th, 2017, at the MidFlorida Credit Union Amphitheatre in Tampa, Florida.

Ving and MEGADETH frontman, Dave Mustaine, performed “Nothing Is Something” from their 1996 collaboration, MD.45.

The collaboration between Ving and Mustaine was a pivotal moment in the history of punk rock and heavy metal. This performance was a testament to their musical legacy and a moment that will be remembered by music fans for years to come.

FEAR and MEGADETH opened for MISFITS during their Tampa show. This gig marked the first Florida appearance of the horror punk band’s classic lineup, featuring original singer and songwriter Glenn Danzig, original bassist Jerry Only, and longtime guitarist Doyle Wolfgang Von Frankenstein.

The Craving, the only album from MD.45, the side project of Ving and Mustaine, was released in 1996, featuring Ving‘s vocals and harmonica. Mustaine later revised the album in 2004, replacing Ving‘s tracks with his own. In his 2011 autobiography Mustaine: A Heavy Metal Memoir, Mustaine explained that he made the change to attract MEGADETH fans who might have missed the original release.
