Earlier reports indicated that Casagrande had engaged in discussions with SLIPKNOT and had participated in recording demos with them. Allegedly, he emerged as the preferred candidate for the band, who admired his talent, versatility, and personality.
A noteworthy coincidence, as highlighted by DREAM THEATER drummer Mike Portnoy, connects Eloy, Jay Weinberg, and Greyson Nekrutman. Greyson departed SUICIDAL TENDENCIES to join SEPULTURA, while Jay transitioned from SLIPKNOT to SUICIDAL TENDENCIES. Now, the final piece of the puzzle remains, as Portnoy remarked in a Revolver Magazine post regarding Jay‘s official induction into SUICIDAL TENDENDIES.
