MÖTLEY CRÜE has announced the upcoming release of their latest single, “Dogs Of War,” scheduled for Friday, April 26th. Preorders for the track are currently open.
This new release also marks MÖTLEY CRÜE‘s collaboration with Nashville’s Big Machine Records.
Vince Neil tells Classic Rock: “It’s a great match for us. We’re good friends with [Big Machine founder/CEO] Scott Borchetta, who put together the Nashville Outlaws album back in 2014. His company just knows radio, how to get it out there, how to get the right people listening.”
“MÖTLEY CRÜE on Big Machine!” exclaims Borchetta. “Growing up in Southern California, I was in Hollywood when these new sheriffs showed up and took over the city. It was loud. It was powerful. It was game-changing. Nikki [Sixx, bass] and Tommy [Lee, drums], along with new guitarist John 5, have reignited the flame with ferocious new CRÜE music. Fans will unite… SHOUT!”
Over a year ago, MÖTLEY CRÜE worked with their longtime producer Bob Rock to record three fresh tracks, among them “Dogs Of War” and a rendition of the BEASTIE BOYS‘ “(You Gotta) Fight For Your Right (To Party!).”
In a previous interview with Desert Sun, MÖTLEY CRÜE drummer Tommy Lee discussed the three fresh tracks that he and his bandmates worked on alongside producer Bob Rock. The new songs include “Dogs Of War” and a rendition of BEASTIE BOYS‘ “(You Gotta) Fight For Your Right (To Party!)”.
“Wait until you hear it. It’s insane,” he says. “It’s not a full album, but that might be down the road a bit. We’re always writing and doing stuff, so that’s always a possibility down the road. But we just went to the studio not too long ago and recorded three insane tracks and one of them is called ‘Dogs Of War’. We’re just finishing up the video for it. For those jonesing for some new CRÜE, people are going to bug out. [New MÖTLEY CRÜE guitarist] John 5 is playing on it, the guitar work is incredible and it sounds sick.”
