THE BRIAN JONESTOWN MASSACRE had a violent onstage brawl during a concert in Melbourne, Australia. Frontman Anton Newcombe and guitarist Ryan Van Kriedt got into a fight on stage, which resulted in the cancellation of the rest of their tour.
The altercation reportedly began after Newcombe ordered Van Kriedt to leave the stage in the middle of the concert which escalated to a full-fledged brawl, with both musicians exchanging insults and shoving each other.
Newcombe even swung a guitar at Van Kriedt during the fight. The band has not yet commented on the situation, and the reason for the cancellation of their upcoming concert in Castlemaine is listed as “medical grounds.”
