OZZY Blames ‘The Osbournes’ Show For Addiction Issues In His Family

The Osbournes 2019

In a new interview with The Sun, Ozzy Osbourne has blamed the stress of reality show The Osbournes for his family’s problems with drink and drugs.

Ozzy, his wife Sharon, daughter Kelly and son Jack starred in The Osbournes 20 years ago, but quit in 2005, thanks to their addiction struggles and mental health crises.

“When you’ve got a camera crew living in your house 24 hours a day seven days a week it gets a bit crazy,” Ozzy told The Sun. “The kids were doing drugs and alcohol and I’d gone back on the booze. By the time year three came along Sharon sat us all down and said, ‘Do you want to carry on?’. Everybody just said no.”

Ozzy previously said: “When the filming ended, I’d go in my little bunker and smoke a pipe and drink about a case of beer every day. I’d give myself some goodness and get up early in the morning and go jogging for six miles.”

In April 2021, Kelly Osbourne shared she relapsed after four years of sobriety. She told Extra at the time: “I am an addict and had thought that I had a enough time under my belt and I could drink like a normal person, and it turns out I cannot and I will never be normal. I don’t know why I even tried it. It’s not for me and it took me a matter of days and I was like done, not doing this.”
