On January 21, the American In This Moment published a brand new single called “In-Between.” Later, the band revealed details of its upcoming 7th album, and it seems that it’s going to be an epic hit. Judging by the published record, the album will feature exquisite sound engineering. Big Names
The upcoming album will be the 5th work with the great metal producer, Kevin Churko. He has already conducted the production of A Star-Crossed Wasteland, Blood, Black Widow, and Ritual. It’s also the second album of the band that’s been in production for 3 years. In 2020 Churko has also produced new albums for Ded and Five Finger Death Punch.
According to the tracklist released by the album publishers Atlantic Records and Roadrunner Records, the 14-track album will include 3 significant feats. Track number 6, “We Will Rock” You, will be a Queen’s hit cover and will feature voices of 2 female metal stars, The Pretty Reckless’s Taylor Momsen and Lzzy Hale of Halestorm. For the 12th track, “Hunting Grounds,” In The Moment invited Ded’s frontman Joe Cotella. Besides, the band is recording a cover for Steve Miller Band’s 1976 hit “Fly Like an Eagle.” There’s no doubt that guys will provide us with exciting versions of the hits as their older covers like Phil Collins’s “In The Air Tonight” were excellent. Fortunately, the core of the band remains unchanged.
The In-Between” Video
The new official video for the single is already available on YouTube and gained almost 3 million views. The clip perfectly matches the style of the album cover and brings it to life by animating the characters covered in white cloth. This stunning cinematic piece of art was created by the band’s lead vocalist Maria Brink in cooperation with the co-director Robert Kley. Randy Weitzel helped Brink with editing and post-production. Both Kley and Weitzel have been the partners of In This Moment for years, and they really know how to visualize the band’s songs right.
The Tour Kicks Off This Month!
As for the upcoming “ The In-Between Tour,” it’s already booked for spring and starts on March 24 in Orlando’s House of Blues. In This Moment announced it on their Instagram on November 12. The band will be supported by Ded, Black Veil Brides, and Raven Black, while Ded will even co-op with In This Moment on the stage. The current map of the tour includes 42 locations across North America, with only 2 of them outside the US.
