Ozzy and Jack’s World Detour is set to kick off July 27 at 10 p.m. on the History channel and will feature Ozzy Osbourne and his son Jack traveling the world together, exploring the history behind some of the planet’s most storied sites, while checking out some lesser known locations along the way.
Ozzy Osbourne told Billboard last year the 10-part hour-long series is “like a father and son spoof on history.” He said, “We went to Stonehenge and met a guy who thinks he’s the fucking reincarnation of King Arthur. And we went to Bletchley Park to see the machine [Alan Turing] used to break the [German] kind. We’re going to Mount Rushmore, to the abandoned silos where America used to have their Minutemen missiles and all that. It’s educational for me, actually — history with an Osbourne slant.”
Ozzy and Jack’s World Detour marks Ozzy Osbourne‘s return to regular television since the MTV reality show The Osbournes, which ran over four seasons from 2002–2005. In 2009, the Osbournes attempted a return to TV with the ill-fated Fox variety show Osbournes Reloaded, which only ran one episode before its cancelation.
