SLAYER has officially reunited and announced their first two performances, scheduled for later this year at the Louder Than Life Festival in Lousville, KY and Riot Fest at Chicago, IL.
The reunion has a quite strange timing, considering that Kerry King has recently unveiled his new solo band and announced his debut album. Additionally, he revealed that he hasn’t had communication with SLAYER frontman Tom Araya since their last performance in 2019.
SLAYER social media announced reunion with a simple message: “It gets you when you least expect it.”
It’s unknown if the band will continue with its last known lineup, which consisted of Tom Araya (vocals, bass), Kerry King (guitar), Gary Holt (guitar) and Paul Bostaph (drums).
The best way to stay updated is to sign up for SLAYER‘s mailing list just launched on their official website.
Dates announced so far:
9.22.24 – Riot Fest – Chicago, IL
9.27.24 – Louder Than Life – Louisville, KY
