Taskforce Toxicator – Laser Samurai Review

There’s nothing like a Thrash Metal band with an agenda as Taskforce Toxicator to start well the day. “Laser Samurai” gives the necessary wrath and resentiment all metallers need to even start a new day. Well, it doesn’t matter whether the sun shines or not; if it rains or not; resentiment is all we need sometimes. The anger and hate we hear with the album give us the power to go on and face one more day under the influence of the dark forces that rule us. No, I won’t say who they are because, nowadays, it’s such a personal thing. But the band gives us a clue. That’s why I love Thrash Metal bands with an agenda. It’s great to be angry for the right reasons.

“Laser Samurai” brings absolutely no news to the realm of Thrash Metal and Metal music in general. It’s no wonder for my child of the night that for this I consider the album perfect. As you all know, this is why I have the motto don’t mess with success. Changes for changes sake isn’t really what I live for. Album warmer and tittle track “Laser Samurai” brings those hallucinating guitar riffings with a speed-of-the-light drumming plus singalong chorus. More Thrash Metal than this is really impossible. The track delivers everything Metal fans love, that is, wrath, hate, and lots of anger. By it, it’s possible to notice that the band’s machinery is pretty cohesive and well-oiled due to the feeling of a total cohesion it passes. What I feel here is the organic musicality and naturallity Taskforce Toxicator pass the fan. Same feeling the fan will have with “Commercial Confessions” which is a little bit faster with a very strong chorus passing the message many Metal bands love that is to criticize all religious corporations – yeah, that’s really the term. Here and there, the band adds other elements as in “Death From Above” where vocals get harsher bordering Death Metal vocals.

I don’t think “Laser Samurai” is an album for thrash metallers only. I guess the elements it brings are of all metallers interest as I said before. Musicwise, only radical metallers won’t like it.

Taskforce Toxicator “Laser Samurai” will be released on September 08th via Iron Shield Records.
