Last Friday (September 17), Ted Nugent appeared in downtown Centreville, Michigan as part of the Jack Coleman Presents Ted & Shemane Nugent Constitution Tour, featuring various Michigan Republican candidates for elected office.
“Aren’t there any BLM punks who want to come up and harass me?” Nugent asked the crowd, according to WWMT.
A few second later, Jalen Brown approached the stage to challenge the singer.
“What’s wrong with Black Lives Matter?” Brown demanded to know.
“Black Lives don’t give a sh*t about black lives. They’re standing by while blacks are slaughtering each other,” Nugent responded. “Black Lives Matter is a terrorist organization!”
Brown took the microphone and then addressed the crowd, chanting “Black lives matter too.”
“We’re not here by choice.” Brown said.
One man in the crowd yelled, “We didn’t bring you.”
Brown later told WWMT that he was offended when Nugent called Black Lives Matter a terrorist organization.
“I love the Constitution, I love the rights it should stand for,” Brown said. “There are people who are taking those and misconstruing them and taking them in a different direction than what it should be.”
