As Blabbermouth reports, former Judas Priest vocalist Tim “Ripper” Owens told in an interview with Talking Metal where he said that he received an e-mail from Judas Priest’s lawyers telling him to stop using the artwork of his two albums with the group – 1997’s “Jugulator” and 2001’s “Demolition” – for solo shows promotion.
Ripper said:
“Yeah, it did happen. It was basically… Someone released a tour poster for one of my solo tours, hey tell me. I love the whole Judas Priest camp and all the guys and management, so when they ask me to do something, I listen.”
I’m just a lucky guy who has chosen metal to live with for a long time. Metal changed my life for good. It made me more confident and stronger. Metalheads are naturally far away from the mass mediocrity and don’t accept impostures from anybody else. Metal is more than music, it’s a life changing oportunity!
