Red Hot Chili Peppers‘ drummer Chad Smith talked to SiriousXM’s Volume West that the new album was in an ongoing process but the wildfires in California delayed the progress. Chad Smith said:
“We started to work on [the follow-up to 2016’s “The Getaway”], which, for us, is just getting in a room and making some noise and putting some notes together. And then the fires came, and the house we were working in, there was no damage, it didn’t burn down, but we couldn’t get back in there. So that halted our [progress].”
I’m just a lucky guy who has chosen metal to live with for a long time. Metal changed my life for good. It made me more confident and stronger. Metalheads are naturally far away from the mass mediocrity and don’t accept impostures from anybody else. Metal is more than music, it’s a life changing oportunity!
