Innards – Back from the Grave, Straight in Your Face

A quick trip to the deeper and darker and lower levels of insanity in only three tracks of the purest 1990s Death Metal insanity. That’s what Innards with “Back from the Grave, Straight in Your Face” offer the fan. Most of the riffs inside “Back from the Grave, Straight in Your Face” take less time than you to read the title of this frantic and energetic album. Innards show the fan the ability of being fast and furious as some bands seem to have forgotten. There are no concessions to any kind of melodic lines or else. Straight in your face as the title says.

It’s amazing how “Back from the Grave, Straight in Your Face” shows the sickiest vocal duet ever with a harsh and gritty voice with one full of devilish mockery and debauchery. The EP has only three tracks, but its content is capable of making the most hardcore Raw Death Metal fan very happy, or putrid – I guess it’s better. “Intro – Night Of The Anthropophagous,” “Enlightenment Through Hate,” and “The Fog” have the same breathtaking cadence and speed. The fan has no time whatsoever to breath or relax. Again, the fan will take a longer time to read the name of the tracks than to listen to them all. Except, of course, “The Fog,” which, by the way, is the ‘slowest’ track of the album. “Back from the Grave, Straight in Your Face” sends a clear message: We take no hostages!

The most important thing about Innards “Back from the Grave, Straight in Your Face” is the Metal message it passes. Metal must be dark and dirty no matter what they say. Metal makes no concessions at all. Melody is good sometimes, but we like it raw and simple and straight ahead. The faster, the better. The dirtier, the better. And that’s all.

Innards “Back from the Grave, Straight in Your Face” will be released on February 21st via Transcending Obscurity Records.
